Adopting a Kitten or Cat into Your Family

Sunshine Adopted! - Myrtle beach pets dot com There are still many, many kittens, cats, puppies and dogs available for adoption at the animal shelters on the Grand Strand. You can contact the Humane Society of North Myrtle Beach at 843-249-4948 or the Grand Strand Humane Society at 843-918-4910

We love all animals, but since this area seems to have an unusually high number of ferile and homeless cats and kittens that need loving homes, this site concentrates mainly on cats, which, since 1999, we have devoted our time, hearts, and resources to saving.

Cats and kittens are wonderful animals to have in the home, for both children and adults who enjoy affectionate animals who become part of the family.

There are usually minimal fees to adopt a pet from the shelters that include shots and spaying or neutering.

Where to adopt a pet:

Giving a Pet Away

Kittens for Adoption If you have a pet you need to find a home for, we recommend that you surrender your pet to a shelter only as your last option.

Notify friends, family members, neighbors, and co-workers that you need to find a home for your pet.

If you have a purebred dog, there are some breed-specific rescue organizations that may be able to help you place your pet.

If you cannot find a home for your pet through friends and co-workers, and you would like to list your pet's need for adoption on this site, send us an email to request listing your pet for adoption.

Please include a photograph of your pet and as much information about your pet as possible.

Some of the kittens adopted to loving families

Gizzie, a loving petite orange and white male, found a new home with a loving young couple.

Munchkin, one of the most gentle and affectionate kittens we've ever known, was adopted by a loving family with a young child in January 2006.

To see other kittens and cats we've saved, given up for adoption, or kept and made part of our family through the years, see our kitten and cat photos.

We recommend Kind Care Animal Hospital. The doctors and staff have been caring and thoughful to our family of cats.
